Our newest expedition, just added in 2025! This trip is great for anyone looking for a shorter expedition experience on Lake Champlain or anyone with a love for canoes, backcountry camping, and exploration. Voyager Canoe Trek is a 5-day canoeing expedition on Lake Champlain. Participants will travel in two 25-foot Voyager Canoes carrying their gear and food with them. Teamwork is front and center when paddling these large canoes. Paddlers will learn how to navigate the lake, set up and strike camp each day and work as a team. By facing challenges together, they will not only become experienced paddlers but also build skills and friendships that will last a lifetime.
The Outdoor Expedition Experience
Voyager Canoe Trek is a full-time outdoor experience that takes place rain or shine. In the event of high winds or lightning our group will stay on shore; otherwise, each day we will work as a team as we travel on water, strengthening our leadership abilities by making informed and thoughtful decisions. We practice low-impact camping and there is little to no running water or bathroom access along the way. We are outside for the entirety of the expedition, sleeping in tents, preparing meals, and exploring what Lake Champlain has to offer.
Each member is expected to contribute, working as a team, and supporting each other along the way. Our expeditions can be physically and mentally challenging but the rewards of overcoming those challenges together are worth it.
