Aquatic Macroinvertebrates
August 10 , 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Free
Catch and identify macroinvertebrates while learning about what they can tell us about water quality! In the process, you will learn what it means to “match the hatch,” why fishermen replicate macroinvertebrates to use as lures, and how diverse even the smallest creatures in the water can be.
Accessibility: This free, drop-in program will be held at the Museum waterfront in North Harbor, accessible by a moderately steep gravel path that leads to an ADA accessible dock. For accommodations or questions, please contact us at campcounselor@lcmm.org.
