Philadelphia II Open Hours

Replica wooden boat Philadelphia II sitting on a green lawn with blue skies and a group of children climbing aboard

July 2 , 1:00 pm 2:00 pm

Soldiers in the Revolutionary War not only fought on boats, they also often lived on them for months. Step aboard the Museum’s replica of the Revolutionary War gunboat Philadelphia to explore their living and working conditions, understand the mechanics of the vessel, and even row the oars!

Accessibility: The Philadelphia II is currently on the Museum Green. There is a staircase leading up to the boat, and the boat is in the middle of a grassy area. However, the rigging and cannon from the Philadelphia II are in the surrounding lawn, and our staff would be happy to talk about the vessel as well as display props on the lawn.
