Teen Sailing Class

Calling all adventurous teens: let’s get sailing!
This one-day introductory sailing course is designed for teens ages 13–18 to learn the basics of small boat sailing. Over the course of the day, participants will learn how to sail a small vessel, how to right a capsized boat, and how to get out on the water and guide your vessel. The class is taught with the Museum’s fleet of custom Split Rock Sailing Dinghies, built right here in our boat shop.
The class will be held at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in North Harbor. In case of inclement weather, we will contact participants immediately. Participants should wear clothes that can get wet and bring their own water and snacks. The class will run from 10 am to 4:30 pm with a break in the middle of the day for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
