Youth Clean Water Summit

Let’s learn how to protect our watershed! Local classes in grades 5–12 are invited to kjoin us and the Champlain Basin Education Initiative for a special event this spring, the Youth Clean Water Summit, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act.
The Youth Clean Water Summit will take place on May 31 on the Burlington Waterfront. The summit is open to students in grades 5-8 and students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend, lead a session, or join the planning team! We have stipends for youth to participate on the planning team. If you have students that might be interested or any questions, contact akeaton@uvm.edu.
Sessions include on-water learning activities with the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, the Community Sailing Center, aboard the new hybrid electric University of Vermont Research Vessel and more!
Funding is available to cover bussing and substitute teacher costs. There is no program fee. Teachers must register their students/class to attend. Use the button or click on the image below to register
