Youth Metal Arts Worksop

April 19 , 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Join us for a day of metalworking just for young teens and pre-teens! Open to all curious metalsmiths ages 10–15, in this workshop participants will learn the main ways of creating metal objects and complete projects themselves. You will learn how to complete two small projects, which will vary by experience level and interest, and forge their own piece in our blacksmith forge.
No prior metal working or blacksmithing experience is necessary, just an excitement to create something new! We’re excited to share the wonder of metal arts with the next generation.
On the day of the workshop, participants should wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, natural fibers preferred, and bring their own lunch and water bottle. Protective gear and equipment will be provided by the Museum. For accessibility questions, please contact us at info@lcmm.org or 802-475-2022.
