Join us for the 2019 Rabble in Arms and explore history in person!
Maritime historians, underwater archaeologists, metal arts experts, and 18th century living historians come together on Lake Champlain Maritime Museum’s campus this August for a weekend full of interactive history. Events and activities include:
- Open fire cooking
- Cannon and musket demonstrations
- Blacksmithing demonstrations
- Conservation Lab artifacts on display
- Interactive musket drill for kids
- Flint and steel fire-making workshops
- And more!
All together, a great chance to explore how people lived in the 18th century, important moments that define our local history, and what our research and artifacts can tell us about 18th century technology and innovation.
Entry to this event is included with general museum admission, kids five and under are free. Rabble in Arms takes place at the museum on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 from 10 am – 4 pm.
